Got to finally play some Left4Dead the other night. Johnny threw me the spare controller and we took a stroll through zombie infested cities, hospitals, highways, byways and boathouses. It was tremendous fun. Valve have done a great job on controlling th difficulty, creating replayability and making the infected run like crazy people whose only concern in (un)life is getting from point a to point b as quickly as they can. I mean, they’re seriously running and full pelt. Of course, more often than not they’re running straight into the firing line of 4 twitchy gun-toting bad-asses.
My favourite part was when the Smoker was dragging me back across the bonnet of a car while the Tank beat the hell out of me (presuming for some sort of parking regulation). Oh, and the constant ninjaing of supllies by our trustworthy allies. If you have the cash and inclination Steam have a sale on a bunch of Valve products until the end of the year. So now might be the time to pick up a game or two cheap.
Either way, now is definitely the time to read this comic. Woot! Number 100! Woot!
